Sustainable Heating Design

Heating Consultants Moore of Devizes are thrilled to have been involved in a makeover that turned a modest 1970s bungalow in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire into an extraordinary home which has taken the 2026 RIBA South West and Wessex award.

The project at Sky House led by architects Klas Hyllén took the ageing bungalow and gave it complete clarity as a home for the 21st century with a skillful and future proof makeover. 
Ron Moore managing director of Moore of Devizes heating and design consultants was delighted by the success of the transformation which puts sustainability at the heart of the project.

Mr Moore said: “We were asked by Klas Hyllen to work with the clients to devise a heating design that would be sustainable. The underfloor heating is powered by an air to water heat pump which also heats the home’s water supply. A special booster system was used to give optimum output for water supplies throughout the property".

The property will now take its place in the entries for the national UK RIBA awards.
